Olivia Marin Hicks

  • Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, I developed a love for outdoor activities while growing up in the Pacific Northwest.

  • I became proficient in Spanish at my elementary school and had the chance to immerse myself in a study-abroad program in Merida, Mexico, at age ten.

  • Passionate about soccer, I dedicated nine years to competitive play and developed an enduring obsession with women's soccer.

  • In high school, my artistic drive emerged, leading me to delve into product design for two years and undertake an independent ceramics study.

  • Introduced to skiing at the age of seven by my father, my love for the sport has deepened each season. Transitioning from alpine ski racing in high school to joining the UO freeride team in college, I relish every opportunity to hit the mountain with family and friends.

  • A seasoned traveler from a young age, I've explored twelve countries so far. My ultimate goal is to visit every country at least once and embark on a journey of entirely moving abroad by the age of thirty.

  • Starting my linguistic exploration at the University of Oregon, I took up Italian initially for the sheer joy of learning. Surprisingly, this interest led to completing a minor in Italian and a transformative summer abroad experience in Italy.

  • Inspired by exposure to "The Devil Wears Prada" and my mother's Vogue magazine collection, I delved into the world of fashion through a two-month internship at a London-based fashion agency.
